Château Malartic Lagraviere

The appellation of Pessac-Leognan is currently going through a revival, thanks to the modernization of the equipment. The Château Malartic Lagravière is part of this wind of change. It was bought in 1998 by a Belgian businessman, Alfred-Alexandre Bonnie. Assisted by Michel Rolland, the château Malartic Lagravière produces white (7 hectares in Semillon and Sauvignon) and red wines (46 acres Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot). The wines of the estate have been classified in white and red. A second wine is also produced “le Sillage de Malartic ». The castle takes its name from the oldest winery of Bordeaux, the estate of la Gravière, located on one of the most beautiful ridges of Graves. “Malartic” comes from the name of the Count Hippolyte Maurès de Malartic, owner of the domain during the eighteenth century.
