Louis Jadot:The history of Maison Louis Jadot, started in 1826 with the acquisition of the « Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Ursules », will really begin in 1859 with the creation of the Maison Louis Jadot by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. After developing the export with Northern Europe, his son Louis Auguste Jadot will develop the family’s company with the purchase of “Corton-Charlemagne” and “Chevalier-Montrachet Les Demoiselles”. Following his meeting with Rudy Kopf, export to UK and the USA will increase. In order to insure the future of the company, Madame Jadot chose to sell the Maison to Rudy Kopf’s family in 1985. The 154 hectares of vines produce AOC wines from the entire Burgundy. The Maison Louis Jadot tries to develop harmoniously all “climats”, also called parcels in this area – Grands Crus or regional appellations – in order to propose and keep the character and the diversity of each of them.
