| Opis winnicy | Château Giscours : The origins of the Château Giscours come from the fourteenth century. Many owners have succeeded at the head of the field. Despite its ranking of ‘third cru classé’ of Margaux, in 1855, the Château Giscours had had a period of troubles until the middle of the twentieth century. Then, Nicolas Tari acquired the area and started a lot of work. These many investments were then followed by Eric Albada Jelgersma, a Dutch, who was a French wines’ lover. Today, he owns 100% of the SAE Château Giscours. The field has reached a level of quality, fully in accord with its position of ‘third cru classé’. Moreover, the price of the wines of the château Giscours, are quite affordable and the château offers an excellent quality. The 80 hectares of the château also produce a second wine, La Sirène de Giscours, from the youngest vines. |
