| Opis winnicy | Château la Gaffelière This property of Saint-Emilion is spreaded over 22 hectares. Château La Gaffelière, premier grand cru classé B, is a classic of the appellation. The Count Léo Malet de Roquefort is the current owner of the domain. The château is located on an old medieval lazaretto, where lepers, also called ‘gaffets’ in French, were used to be treated. The name of La Gaffelière comes from this. The Château La Gaffelière is located between Pavie and Ausone. It also proposes a second wine, Clos La Gaffelière, coming from the youngest vines. |
